Leo Carrillo State Beach is a family-friendly beach in western Malibu. It is one of my favorite outdoor photoshoot locations in Los Angeles. The state beach has several hiking trails and a large campground to explore the hillside. There is so much to explore and the place allows you to create whatever look you desire. The beach has plenty of white sand, rocky cliffs, and walk-through caves that are enough to offer countless memorable pictures. Every time I visit for a photoshoot I discover something new which makes this place even more fascinating!
Coldwater Canyon Park
The park is fantastic and has a very calm and relaxing environment. With beautiful landscapes; it is one of the ideal locations for family photos in Los Angeles. Besides, once the photo session is over, you can easily extend your visit and enjoy the amenities of the park! You’ll love it! It features exclusive play areas and picnic areas that make it a lovely spot for families to bond and spend quality time together. I love TreePeople and all they inspire in the community. They are located right inside the park and they have several educational and cultural activities you can take part. Just check their website for more information.
Eaton Canyon Nature Center
Eaton Canyon is a favorite, especially for the family photos. There are a lot of rustic surroundings, lush green areas, vibrant colors, dramatic-looking trees with large canopies, and picturesque rocks that offer stunning backdrops for the pictures. It is a hidden gem in LA, featuring some of the most beautiful sights and a peaceful environment to relax and unwind. The landscape is beautiful year round with each season.
Temescal Canyon Park
We know this park for its challenging hikes and expansive views of LA. Whenever I am here; I feel we have the park to ourselves and there is so much variety to shoot. If you love nature, lots of greenery, I highly recommend checking out Temescal Canyon to timestamp family moments. There are water fountains, picnic tables, and a lot of space for the families to enjoy.
