If yes, then Malibu is the right place to spend time with your lovely family. It doesn’t matter whether you are looking forward to an adventure vacation or plan to spend a relaxing day by the beach—there are a lot of things to do in Malibu and explore with kids. This beautiful city is famous for its beaches, natural beauty, and hiking trails. In addition, the city has a mix of upscale luxury spots, laid-back attractions with so many vibrant places to explore.
To help you plan your trip, I have compiled some of the best things you can do to make your experience more enjoyable and fun.
Fun Things To Do in Malibu with Family
Malibu Creek State Park
Spend quality time with your kids and enjoy horse riding, hiking, and biking throughout the park. There are two waterfalls in Malibu Creek State Park that are really beautiful and are open for visitors from sunrise to sunset. Apart from the play dates, family photography is another activity you can explore in this beautiful location and can capture joyous family moments. So definitely try one!
Point Dume State Beach & Nature Reserve
This is one of the largest beaches in Malibu and is an ideal location for spending time with your kids while playing frisbee or volleyball, building sandcastles, etc. Also, Point Dume is the only place in Malibu where you can enjoy watching migrating whales. How amazing is that? Westward Beach is my favorite spot over there.
Malibu Bluffs Park
Are you planning a picnic for your kids? If yes, then head straight to Malibu Bluff Park, which offers abundant options for playing games, enjoying a picnic, and relaxing on the lush green lawns.
Leo Carillo State Beach
Wouldn’t be it interesting to go camping with your kids? Yes, it is possible as Leo Carillo State Beach is the only place in Malibu that offers camping that is perfect for families. Here you can also explore plenty of adventurous activities such as surfing, kayaking, etc.
Las Flores Creek Park
Las Flores Creek is a beautiful park that is located in Malibu along Las Flores Creek. It is enclosed among the plethora of shops and is lined with benches to relax. You can enjoy and play with your kids through the swings, climbing structures, slides, jungle gym, swing sets, walking trails, and a lot more.
Boat Day Tours
You can spend quality time with your children on boat day tours while learning and exploring more about Marine life. It is one of the best things to do in Malibu, where you can completely enjoy, learn and bond with the kids amidst nature. For this adventure, I would recommend Malibu Coastal Adventure. They offer paddleboarding (my favorite activity at the moment!) and surfing lessons as well.
