Doctors are available after-hours to answer questions and provide emergency care. Patients deliver at St. John’s Hospital, where they can access anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and state-of-the-art medical technology. Doctors at Santa Monica Women’s Health are skilled in treating normal pregnancies and high-risk issues such as multiple pregnancies, advanced maternal age, pregnancy-related hypertension, fetal growth restriction, and preterm labor. Partners and spouses are welcome at every prenatal visit and ultrasound appointment, and the support person is encouraged to play a prominent role during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Women typically begin prenatal care around 7-8 weeks of pregnancy. In addition, doulas are welcome to offer support during labor and delivery.
  • Surgery: All procedures and alternative treatments are always explained thoroughly, as Santa Monica Women’s Health doctors know that surgeries can be stressful. Doctors use minimally-invasive techniques, such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery. All aspects of gynecological care are available to patients, from pre-op exams to bloodwork and imaging, to oncology specialists.
  • Menopause: For some women, menopause is a very challenging period of life. Doctors work with patients to create a plan for menopause treatment that reflects their individual needs. Furthermore, many services are available to women going through menopause, from hot flashes to mood swings to herbal remedies and hormone replacement therapy.
  • Infertility: Patients struggling with infertility are treated with compassion, patience, and positivity. Infertility services include blood testing, ultrasound imaging, fertility medications, ovulation trigger shots, and intrauterine insemination.

Specialty

Santa Monica Women’s Health operates out of St. John’s Hospital, one of the best hospitals in Los Angeles. Trained doctors perform everything from minimally-invasive surgeries to hysteroscopy to robotic surgery.

Specialty services include Emsella, a non-invasive treatment for urinary incontinence. The procedure uses high-frequency electromagnetic energy to stimulate and strengthen a woman’s pelvic floor.

MonaLisa Touch is a procedure for women who struggle with physical changes from childbirth and menopause. It is a non-surgical, non-hormonal, chemical-free solution to chronic vaginal discomfort. Additionally, each treatment session takes less than 10 minutes and is pain-free!

Santa Monica Women’s Health also offers Emsculpt, a painless treatment that helps burn fat and build muscle. The treatment produces supramaximal muscle contractions that cause fat cells to disintegrate while helping to strengthen muscle tone and definition. Each treatment session is about 30 minutes and can help with issues such as diastasis recti, burning stubborn areas, reducing back pain, strengthening the core, and lifting and toning muscles.
